Security Consultant Mr. Klas Nilsson at the security firm called Security Manager, received the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation on September 6, 2007 and became the second CFE in Sweden.
The Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation was founded in 1998 by Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). It is a specialist certification within Fraud Prevention and Fraud Investigation. Both the FBI and Department of Defense has officially recognized the CFE credential, as very important for career advancement. The Forensic Audits and Special Investigations Unit (FSI) for the Government Accountability Office, have announced that all professionals within the FSI unit must obtain the CFE credential. The CFE is listed as one of the most marketable credentials today, according to a study by Robert Half International. The CFE exam consists of four areas and a total of 500 questions to be answered in 10 hours. The certification needs to be renewed annually.
Eligibility to write the exam
Member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE)
At least 2 years of professional experience related to the detection or deterrence of fraud.
A Bachelor's degree or up to 6 more years of professional experience professional certifications and some university education can be claimed.
