Klas Nilsson, CPP, PSP, PCI has this year held the CPP Study Group in Sweden and managed to get all 11 persons attending his Study Group this year certified. Klas is always promoting ASIS certifications in articles in the Swedish security press (ex. Aktuell Säkerhet March/April 2009 issue), in speeches on several occasions in the other Nordic chapters (Finland, Norway, Denmark) in our Region about how to start up study groups and also supported chapter in France with this.

The Regional Award recognises certified security professionals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the CPP, PSP or PCI designation on the local, regional or national level.

Contributions may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Increasing the awareness of, and the pursuit of, professional certification among security practitioners;
• Creating awareness of the value and credibility of the CPP, PSP and/or PCI designations outside of the security profession;
• Contributing significantly to the quality of the chapter or regional certification study program through such activities as (but not limited to) distinguished service as a Chapter Certification Representative or leader in the development of chapter study material or education tools.

The ASIS International Professional Certification Board (PCB) will celebrate with Regional winners and present their award and plaque on Tuesday, September 22 at the ASIS International 55th Annual Seminar and Exhibits in Anaheim, California.
